The hinges and joints perfectly sound, which is uncommon in a sheep binding (notoriously prone to disintegration) with only very slight scuffing to the leather at the extremities of the spine.. . 8vo,. Inserted portrait; frontispiece and text illustrations by E. W. Kemble.. BAL 3415, with the title leaf in state 3; p. [13] listing Him and another man incorrectly at p. 88 (1st issue); p. 57 with the reading with the was (1st issue); p. 283 in state 1; p. 155 in state 1, and the frontispiece in the second state (as an insert, it bears no relation to the sheets). The terminal blank leaf characteristic of the publisher s leatherbound copies is present.
