First edition of King's early book of 19 chilling stories. 8vo. 336 pp. One-quarter black cloth with red paper-covered boards. Gilt lettering to the spine. Priced at $8.95, code of S52 at the bottom of the last page. A very nice copy with only minor issues from the production process: a small spot of glue to the top of the front board, some staining to gutters of the half-title and title page (due to glue?), and some bubbling to the front pastedown. There is also a tiny bump to the top rear corner resulting in small creases to the No fading, no ownership marks, and no loss of gilt to the spine.
