Beverly Hills, CA, 1995. One page. 1 vols. 4to. To Wesley Hartley, a long-time educator and teacher, formerly of the American Council on Education. Folded, else fine with a form letter from Barbara Branden [New York, 1960] describing a series of Braden's lectures and enclosing a brochure (no longer present). One page. 1 vols. 4to. ¶A very good letter from Ayn Rand's colleague stating "I am a firm believer in the value of education. The problem in today's world, however, is to get a good one. Is college experience necessary for creative writing? No; not necessarily. Can it be desirable? you bet! I would encourage your students to study, not only literature, but also philosophy and history. Let them become acquainted with the classics. Let them get a proper gounding in 'the western tradition'".
