Rare first edition, first printing of Vladimir Nabokov's first commercially published poetry collection, issued under his early émigré pseudonym, V. Sirin. Published by Gamaiun in Berlin, with an estimated print run of only 1,000 copies. This fragile volume contains 38 poems and measures approximately 15.5 x 11.7 cm. Bibliographically complete, consisting of 32 leaves Printed in original pre-reform Russian orthography by the Zinaburg & Co. typography house in Berlin. Structurally bound as issued in individual signatures, saddle-stitched with original industrial metal staples rather than sewn. A highly scarce intact example retaining its original paper wrappers. Condition Report Overall Condition: Fair to Good Wrappers: Original tan paper wrappers with characteristic overlapping yapp edges. Front cover features a prominent vintage graphite pencil numbers "3" and "6" and some minor markings at the top. The rear cover has minor staining and Edge Wear: Moderate creasing, chipping, and tiny closed tears along the delicate outer margins and corners. Rubbing and minor paper loss visible along the spine. Binding & Structure: Internally saddle-stitched with the original factory metal staples. The inner hinges are raw and partially exposed at the gutters, but the binding remains intact and holds the signatures firmly together.
