Jonathan Cape, London, 1959. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 318 pages (complete). True first edition. Blind stamped illustration of a skull with gilt coloured eyes (a little scuffed). The black boards are comfortable, just a little worn about the edges and corners. The back board has very mild bubbling from storage conditions. Both front and back have a little scuffing and marking. The spine has pull-wear to the head and foot. The gilt titling on the spine is fresh. The boards are secure and sure. The papertrims are a little streaked with foxing. The front and end papers have handling and ownership marks, wear, just a few spots of foxing. The pages have some few foxing marks along the edges that have seeped from the trim. There are very faint - and very few - handling marks here and there. Otherwise, the contents are overwhelmingly comfortable, clean, clear, generous, welcoming, amenable, fresh-faced. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
