Solid early American compendium of seven of Dickens' greatest works plus some misc. pieces. Published less than a decade after the author's death in 1870. Bound in publisher's brown cloth blocked and decorated in black with gilt lettering on spine and gilt accents on front board. with black lettering on both boards and spine with gilt accents. All edges gilt. Forty Illustrations. Square, tight and clean throughout save a touch of toning to page edges but no foxing. Some wear to spine ends and tips. Mild rubbing to hinges. Front hinge starting but firm. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.
