First leaf and textblock edge a little marked, extremities a little rubbed. An advance readers rsquo; copy of the second Potter book, which was unusually produced with the artwork that was to feature on the first American dustjacket to its wrappers, as opposed to the generic wrappers more usually used for ARCs. Interviewed about the proof for Sorcerer rsquo;s Stone which was similarly bedecked, publisher Arthur Levene called it lsquo;elegantmadding lsquo;we wanted to make a big splash rsquo; (quoted in Errington).
