Orig. published in 1964, this is a Book Club Edition (BCE) of the 1973 revision, in which the black Oompa-Loompas were redrawn amidst concerns about racism. In 178 pages + About the Author in rear, this hardcover has tan cloth over boards brightly stamped with an image of Charlie at the gates of the Wonka estate in purple & rust to front board, same color lettering to spine. Condition is VG-: extremely clean, but significantly foxed to all outside edges of text block, with lighter spots & mild tanning to interior pages, which are otherwise completely unmarked. Very mild bumping to corners & both ends of spine. The unclipped DJ is Fair-Good, with many small chips, soiling, & rubbing; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
