1923. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Charcoal illustration. Image size 20½" x 16¼". Professional framed and matted measuring 28½" x 24". Unexamined out of the framed but it appear quite fine. An illustration featuring a wife woman having a serious talk with two stern-looking men in a study over drinks. Brown was a premiere illustrator for much of the first half of the 20th Century, illustrating books and magazine stories by many of the most notable writers (F. Scott Fitzgerald, Booth Tarkington, and Ring Lardner) and top publications (*Saturday Evening Post*, *Colliers*, and *The American*). He served as the president of the Society of Illustrators was elected as the eighth member of its Hall of Fame in 1964.
