1923. Unbound. Fine. Charcoal illustration. Image size 19½" x 13¾". Professional framed and matted measuring 27" x 21". Unexamined out of the framed but it appear quite fine. A striking illustration featuring a young woman sitting on a desk shaking her finger at an older seated man while a young man her age watc';hes from behind. Brown was a premiere illustrator for much of the first half of the 20th Century, illustrating books and magazine stories by many of the most notable writers (F. Scott Fitzgerald, Booth Tarkington, and Ring Lardner) and top publications (*Saturday Evening Post*, *Colliers*, and *The American*). He served as the president of the Society of Illustrators was elected as the eighth member of its Hall of Fame in 1964.
