Text folded in half horizontally with two, one-inch tears at the fold, lightly dust soiled, creased along spine and fore-edge, a few nicks and short tears at fore-edge margin, a good or better copy of a rare and fragile publication. Housed in custom folding cloth chemise and maroon half-morocco slip-case stamped in gilt, with raised bands. First edition. 3 pp. Single sheet, folded. 1 vols. 8vo. The first separately published work by Norman Douglas, with his surname misspelled, an offprint limited to "about 50 copies for private distribution" and preceded only by periodical appearances. Written by Norman Douglas following a brief visit to the island of Santorin in early May of 1892. Rare: no copy has appeared at auction since 1975.
