This novel features both Hercule Poirot and Captain Arthur Hastings. It is set in northern France and is told with Hastings as the narrator. This novel resulted in contemporary media favourably comparing Christie s Belgian detective to Sherlock Holmes due to his methods of detection. In the original full cloth binding.
