First edition
New York: The McWilliams Manuscript Service, 1926. Unbound. Fine. Handbill. Octavo sheet printed recto only. Folded almost certainly as issued else fine. A handbill for Mavis McIntosh and Elizabeth Williams' literary agency, The McWilliams Manuscript Service. An interesting item: in 1928, Mavis McIntosh and an Eilzabeth R. Otis would found the McIntosh & Otis agency, still in existence and notable for having John Steinbeck among other literary luminaries on their roster. According to the McIntosh & Otis website, these two were the first women to run their own agency. We have not been able to find much information about this company aside from a small ad in a 1926 issue of *The Editor*: whether this is an early project by McIntosh with another woman, or an early iteration of McIntosh and Otis (meaning Elizabeth Williams got married and took her husband's name), we are unsure. Either way, a handsome and interesting piece of publishing ephemera from female pioneers in the field.
