Often considered the most attractive of the unillustrated editions, it is uncommon in contemporary bindings such as these. 10 vols, octavo (207 x 140 mm). Portrait frontispiece, title pages printed in red and black with a wood-engraving of Austen's monogram. Contemporary green-brown half morocco by Harrison & Sons, spines lettered in gilt, gilt floral art nouveau design to compartments, cloudy marbled sides and endpapers, top edge gilt, fore and bottom edges uncut. Spines sunned, contents foxed. A very good set.
