Goldstone--with his penciled signature and notes on the front free endpaper. Goldstone and his brother Adrian Homer Goldstone, who was Steinbeck's bibliographer--amassed a huge collection of 19th and 20th Century fiction. A superb copy in Olive green cloth with gilt decorations and lettering to the spine and front board. This copy is in very fine condition with gilt top edge and tissue guard over the frontispiece as new. No fading or edgewear--remarkable condition for over 100 years old.
