Yellow endpapers. Two frontispiece engravings with tissue guard. With two hundred and thirty-four illustrations in text. Being some account of the steamship Quake City's Pleasure excursion to Europe and the Holy Land; with descriptions of countries, nations, incidents and adventures, as they appeared to the author. Twain's second book, his first nonfiction travel book, which was key to his reputation as a humorist observer of his mid-19th Century world. Binding with light wear along edges and spine lightly sunned.
