My dear sir, Let me thank you for your letter telling me about Mr. Morse. I hasten to say that he must not cut short his visit to you, which I am sure will do him good, on account of my affairs. Give my kind regard to him and best wishes for his health. I was interested to hear sine words about my father s bust from an outsider. But I am alarmed at your mention of a new beginning. I liked the photograph of the one made last summer, with certain exceptions, which faults have been recognized and corrected, I think, before the casting. Please tell him, if you will be so kind, that while I have been (I hope not too [illegible word]) clamoring for is, that a cast be made (under his direction, but not by his hands, as he is not well) at the earliest possible moment of the plaster cast of last summer, the clay of which broke in the moulding, --and sent to me. I don t dare risk losing this, which appeared in photograph so good, and do not wish to embark on a new model. Hoping that the change of a visit to you in this upcoming Spring will refresh Mr. Morse and thanking you again for your letter, I am Sincerely yours, Edward W. Emerson The Rev.
