London: Walter Stoneman of J. Russell & Sons,, 1941. One of the most famous wartime images of Churchill, signed by the photographer in pencil on the mount. Stoneman's portrait shows a dauntless Churchill seated at the Cabinet table in 10 Downing Street. Silver print (199 x 157 mm), mounted on card (276 x 188 mm) with photographer's studio stamp on verso. Photograph a little silvered, mount browned with chipping at extremities: in good condition.
