Early full polished calf tooled in gilt and blind, with morocco title-labels on the spines; all edges gilt; leather lightly marked, a little rubbed at the extremities, with light wear to the head of the spines; joints of the first volume cracked; front hinge expertly reinforced; light foxing confined mainly to the plates, tissue-guards and adjacent leaves; an attractive set in very good condition overall. The first volume has the bookplate of Bernard Gore Brett on the pastedown. This set, the first collected edition of Parry's Arctic voyages, is complete with the scarce sixth volume ('Narrative of an Attempt to reach the North Pole, in Boats fitted for the Purpose, and attached to His Majesty's Ship 'Hecla', in the Year 1827').
