This publication was issued to coincide with the exhibition Beyond Beauty: Photographs from the Duke University Special Collections Library at the Nasher Museum of Art, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, July 2–October 18, 2009. A strong Duke / documentary photography / archive catalog with work connected to major documentary photographers and collections, including Cedric Nunn, Lynn Saville, Rob Amberg, Vincent Cianni, Wyatt Dixon, Max Belcher, and others.
