Published in 1997 with assistance from Monash University and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission, this substantial volume brings together historical records, linguistic research, traditional knowledge, photographs, hymns, place names, grammar, vocabulary and dictionary material relating to the Yorta Yorta language. This copy is signed and personally inscribed by co-author Heather Bowe to Wally Cooper. The inscription appears on the title page and reads: “To Wally Cooper, with very best wishes, Heather Bowe.” About the Book Yorta Yorta Language Heritage was written by Heather Bowe, Lois Peeler and Sharon Atkinson as a major contribution to the preservation and study of the Yorta Yorta language.
