Modern Library, 1928-1951. Hardcover. Good - Cash/No Jacket. Red hardcovers with black blocks on the spines and covers that hold the titles and author names in gold gilt letering. General surface and edge wear to all volumes. The corners have been bumped. Light discoloraiton to the spines. Pages all show reader wear. The bindings are all tight and pages are secure. Great Modern Short Stories has a crack on the inside of the front cover that reveals a bit of the netting. The binding has a slight tilt. A few of the pages have notations and underlining in pencil. The front hinge for Herodotus: The Persian Wars is broken, revealing the netting inside. The previous owner s name is inside. There s some soiling to the bottom of the spine. Selected Poetry of Robert Browning has the previous owner s name inside as well. The back hinge is also broken, revealing the netting. The Philosophy of Santayana has creasing to the front cover. Swann s Way has writing on the first endpage.
