The Macmillan Company / Viking Press, New York, 1981 First printing thus. A fine copy in a very good jacket. A clean copy with price ($16.95) intact on front flap. Comes with archival-quality jacket protector. This book came from the library of poet and literary critic J.D. McClatchy, from his estate in Stonington, Connecticut. McClatchy left his sparse notes (in ink) throughout the text. McClatchy clipped and laid in Moore s New York Times obituary, a book review of Moore s Complete Poems, and a section of The New York Times Magazine Christmas-themed poetry section (includes one by Moore, as well as ones by Kurt Vonnegut, Robert Graves, and others) from 1969. McClatchy also clipped and laid in a review by David Bromwich, of this title and Moore s The Poet s Advance (which McClatchy noted in ink as being from March 1982), as well as a postcard that Moore sent this then-partner, Alfred Corn. The book itself is free from signature.. Inscribed by Author(s). Hardcover. Fine/Very Good.
