McClatchy left his sparse notes (in ink) throughout the text. McClatchy clipped and laid in Moore s New York Times obituary, a book review of Moore s Complete Poems, and a section of The New York Times Magazine Christmas-themed poetry section (includes one by Moore, as well as ones by Kurt Vonnegut, Robert Graves, and others) from 1969. McClatchy also clipped and laid in a review by David Bromwich, of this title and Moore s The Poet s Advance (which McClatchy noted in ink as being from March 1982), as well as a postcard that Moore sent this then-partner, Alfred Corn.
