Publisher's green cloth with gilt titles to spine, typographic dust-jacket priced at 12/6. Contents exceptionally clean and fresh with no foxing, no ink names, edges of text block show some gentle toning, jacket has some edge chips along top edge, some insect 'feathering' to paper, toned to fore-edge, remains presentable. A very good copy. A collected edition of Churchill's foreign affairs articles from 1936 to 1939, chronicling Britain's loss of air parity, France's decline, and the renascent Germany of Adolf Hitler, leading ultimately to the outbreak of war in September 1939.
