London: NP. Original manuscript letter. Loose leaf. 7 1/8 x 4 1/2 John Tenniel 1820-1914 illustrated the classic versions of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The one-page letter introduces his friend as a candidate for the post of Medical Inspector to the Artist's Annuity Fund. It is signed John Tenniel with a central London address, 53 Berners Street, at top. Near fine condition. Item #54925
