This print depicts the inside of an inn in Akasaka today's Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture , which was a vibrant shukuba-machi rest stops build along the major travel routes during the Edo period. In the room on the left, a maid is serving food to a man lying with a smoking pipe in his hand.
