First edition, issued as the fifth book in the 'Rosa Abbott Stories'. Illustrated frontispiece; 256 pp. 12mo. Publisher's green cloth, gilt spine. Owner's very early ink inscription to front flyleaf dated Dec. 25th, 1869 . Binding has light wear at extremities of spine and tips of corners, rear hinge has a small tear at top, few pages of text lightly soiled and foxed, else a very good, bright copy.
