First edition. 542 copperplate engravings, some folding. 18 vols. Large 4to. Contemporary tree calf, covers bordered with a gilt roll tool, spines with raised bands in six compartments, red and black morocco lettering pieces in the second and fourth, the others with a repeat overall decoration in gilt, marbled endpapers. Scratches to the spine of vol. 1 affecting both labels, else minor chips and top and tail of spines, minor wear at joints and board edges.
