[Autograph Letter, Signed, "G.W. Cable"]. To "Rev Dr T. T. Munger," likely Rev. Theodore Thornton Munger, of New Haven. After an apology for the delay in responding to Munger's letter of 18 October due to absence on "a short lecturing circuit," Cable notes that "Nothing lately has so disappointed me as my inability, owing to prior & imperative engagements, to accept your hospitality & the invitation of the A.M.A. [American Missionary Association] to assist in their exercises." He closes by extending his own offer of hospitality should Munger ever "be in reach of Northampton at anytime...."
