This set largely conforms to the collation of adverts and inserts reported in Van Duzer, with the following exceptions: Part 1, no terminal adverts or slips are present; Part 7, no terminal slip for The National Magazine is present; Part 8, no terminal ad leaf is present; Part 9, no terminal ad for Wissen & Parker appears; Part 17, the specimen insert is from The Bride of Lammermore rather than Guy Mannering; Part 20, the slip re: the delay for the plates is inserted in front rather than in the rear; Part 21 includes a slip for Beeton's Dictionary not noted in Van Duzer; and in Part 24, there are no inserted ads for Grace Aguilar's Works, but a slip announcing the forthcoming first part in the serial issue of Beeton's Book of Household Management is present.
