New York: Viking Press, 1939. A First Edition, First Printing 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Very good in a very good unclipped dust jacket. "First Published in April 1939" on copyright page, and the "First Edition" statement present on the bottom corner of the front flap and the price of $2.75 at the top of the front flap. The second front end paper (a blank page) has been removed, and there is slight soiling to the text block, else the volume is in very nice condition. The jacket has two one inch tears at the seam of the front panel, one at the top and one at the bottom. There is a tiny chip at the top of the front panel, difficult to see. Overall rubbing to the jacket folds, corners and seams. Supplied with a very nice custom box in fine condition.
