Lette was an amateur writer, but one of those natural writers whom one spots instantly among the hordes of creative typists and formula hacks who infest out little world. Her first story, Merari, was to be published that summer in COSMOPOLITAN; her second was to be published in Ellison's anthology, LAST DANGEROUS VISIONS. The present story, Timmy, represented her third.
