Cooper's account contains descriptions of his journey from Hoopeh, to Ichang, Chung Ching, Chen Tu, Eastern Tibet, Bathang, Atenze, etc., and of the tribes of Lan-Tsan-Kiang and his imprisonment at Weisee.
