Boston: S. G. Goodrich, 1827. First edition, 12mo, pp. 96; original glazed blue paper-covered boards, printed yellow label on spine; good and reasonably sound. With a gift inscription dated January 1, 1828 to Elizabeth J. H. Reid from her mother. Willis's first book, written while at Yale at the age of 21. By the time of his graduation he had already received national recognition for his poetry. BAL 22713, binding B no priority ; American Imprints 31771.
