Benjamin Lewis Rice originally published the Mysore Gazetteer. This set, being a new edition, has been revised and republished under the editorial leadership of C. Hayavadana Rao. Edited by C. Hayavadana Rao, the Indian historical and notable anthropologist who was a member of the Royal Anthropological Institute, as well as being a follow of the Royal Society of Economics. The work is an important and extensive work that explore the history of the Kingdom of Mysore, a region in southern India, which manifests in contemporary India as a city in the state of Karantaka.
