Set of 3 Original 'The New Illustrated' Magazines (November 1919) A fantastic, matching run of three consecutive November 1919 issues of the British weekly magazine The New Illustrated. Celebrated for their striking full-color covers, these issues capture the immediate post-WWI transition into early Art Deco graphic design and illustration. Issues Included: November 15, 1919: Featuring a vibrant side-saddle equestrian hunting cover. November 22, 1919: Featuring an Art Deco graphic illustration of a woman blowing a trumpet on a patterned yellow/blue ground. November 29, 1919: Featuring a Japonesque / Willow Pattern Geisha cover. Features & Condition: Includes rich period advertising throughout (and on the back covers), including vintage fashion, Mackintosh's, and motoring competitions. Good vintage condition for 100+ year-old periodicals. Covers remain bright and colorful with light edge wear, minor corner creasing, and spine rubbing as shown in the photographs. Shipping: Will be packed flat between thick card stiffeners in a waterproof sleeve to prevent bending during transit.
