Original May 7, 1945 issue of TIME Magazine, published immediately following the death of Adolf Hitler and just days before Victory in Europe (V-E Day). Featuring the now-famous Hitler portrait crossed out with a bold red "X," this is one of the most recognizable and sought-after World War II TIME magazine covers. This is the Canadian Edition, containing period Canadian advertising throughout the magazine, including Coca-Cola, Leishman Clothes, Export Cigarettes, Ditto Business Systems, The Biltmore, and many other wartime advertisements that are increasingly collectible.
