$200 · Offered by eBay
First edition · Signed
The only novel by the leading graphologist of the time. Stafford's syndicated newspaper column on handwriting analysis led her to read the handwriting of many public figures. Stafford inserts herself into the story when a mystery man is murdered in a newspaper office, the only clue a note that he had written. Bumped and rubbed, spine slightly cocked and darkened. Binding solid with a few faint spots of foxing to the upper edge of the text block. Jacket rubbed with small chips and tears, internal tape repair. Price intact, in Brodart. Inscribed and signed by Stafford on the front endpaper to actress Rosalind Russell, dated November 12, 1943. Thanks for looking!
