Published in 1877, this biography of the celebrated clergyman, social reformer, and author was written by his widow, Frances Eliza Kingsley (1814-1891). Charles Kingsley is best known for the novels Hypatia (1853), Westward Ho! (1855), and the popular children's book The Water-Babies (1863).
