Touch of offsetting to gutters at endpapers, very faint moisture stain to upper edge of textblock, else a clean, very Near Fine copy. Dustjacket is unclipped (priced $4.95), with light wear to extremities and a few tiny tears; a bright, Near Fine example. An attractive copy of one of Dick's early Doubleday hardcover novels, originally titled The Hour of the T.E.N.C.H. "A disgruntled group of misfits is moved to an experimental planet after personal contact with their transcendant deity. Though Delmak-0 is supposed to be uninhabited, the colonists begin to suffer frequent and unusual deaths. Upon infiltration of a hidden building, they discover they are guinea pigs in a long range experiment, and that they themselves are the experimenters" (Levack 26a). Uncommon signed. 8676.
