Gelatin silver print photograph, printed on postcard stock, 137 x 87 mm; in the negative are the photographer s handwritten details lower left Otto Mayer, Dresden , and facsimile signature of Felix Schweighofer lower right; lower margin recto with Schweighofer s handwritten note explaining that the portrait is of him in character as August Nippes for the comedy Husarenfieber , at he Central-Theater, Dresden, 1907; verso with Schweighofer s personal wet stamp of his Villa Felixhof residence in Blasewitz near Dresden, and a lengthy autograph message addressed to his friend and professional colleague, the light opera librettist Emil Norini (1859-1918); fine condition. Felix Schweighofer (1842-1913) was an Austrian stage actor, noted for his comic roles and performances in Viennese operetta productions. Emil Norini (1862-918) was a Viennese actor and operetta librettist, best known for co-writing the libretto for Franz Lehár s Wiener Frauen.
