Near Fine/Fine. 8vo.,213pp. Sharp First Edition of this comprehensive review of the life and works of one of the greats of Golden Age Mystery. Bound in purplish cloth with lettering in gilt on spine. Square, tight, and clean throughout with no toning or foxing. Some bumping to heel and bottom front board. Equally attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket is fresh and bright with no creases, chipping, toning or tears. Inscribed and signed by the author on the reverse of the half-title page, "To Carlene Roberts Lawrence, Thank you for sharing your memories of Mignon. Best wishes, Rick Cypert". Lawrence, (1913 - 2018), was the first female executive for a major airline, retiring from American Airlines as a Vice President in 1954. She was a very close friend to Eberhart and features prominently throughout the book. Laid in is a letter from the author, asking Mrs. Lawrence for permission to use a particular photograph of her to be used in the book, which it was. A some-what crumpled photocopy of the photo in question as is a response letter signed by Lawrence giving her permission. Also included, is a photocopy of a letter from Lawrence to the author, thanking him for the inscribed copy. She has included an ORIGINAL photograph of Mignon and Lawrence together on board Lothair's (Lawrence's first husband), boat on Chesapeake Bay. There is a description of the photo in Lawrence's hand on the reverse
