The Australian Historical Monographs were written or edited by Australian historian and prolific writer, George Mackaness. He wrote or edited 41 monographs between 1935 and 1962. All had limited printed runs, and were individually numbered and signed by Mackaness. See the entry "Australian Historical Monographs" in Wikipedia for a full list. These are Monographs number XXIV and XXV published in 1952. It was issued in two parts (ie two seperate booklets). Full title: A Chronology of Momentous Events in Australian History 1788 to 1846 Editor: George Mackaness. Part I - No 121 of a limited print run of 150 copies and signed by Mackaness (see photo) Part II - No 128f a limited print run of 150 copies and signed by Mackaness (see photo) This is the scarce limited first edition (not the later Dubbo reprint), in quite good condition.
