The Australian Historical Monographs were written or edited by Australian historian and prolific writer, George Mackaness. He wrote or edited 41 monographs between 1935 and 1962. This is Monograph number XXXIX published in 1959. It was issued in three parts (ie three seperate booklets). Part I - No 128 of a limited print run of 150 copies and signed by Mackaness (see photo) Part II - No 76 of a limited print run of 150 copies and signed by Mackaness (see photo) Part III - No 100 of a limited print run of 150 copies and signed by Mackaness (see photo) This is the scarce limited first edition (not the later Dubbo reprint), in quite good condition.
