This follow-up to an earlier Tables of Contents project which showcased the recipes of New York writers, features recipes from monthly gatherings where the written word and other arts are celebrated along with food and drink. Chef Evan Hanczor of Little Egg in Brooklyn has collaborated with cocktail creator Sammi Katz and pastry chef Tanya Bush to offer dishes and drinks in tribute to the work of writers such as: James Brinkley (Takeout joloff rice inspired by his short story collection Witness ) Megan Fernandes (Umi and carrot tagine inspired by her verse in I Do Everything I am Told ) Cynthia Zarin (Pappa al pomodoro, inspired by her novel Inverno ) Nell Irvin Painter (a cocktail based on her essays and artwork in I Just Keep Talking ) An uncommon intersection of various artforms, with illustrations by Olivia McGiff.
