ONE OF NUMEROUS 16th c. EDITIONS first ed. 1549/1550 . Title printed within a typographic border, with numerous woodcut illustrations in the text. Bound in 17th c. sprinkled sheepskin with some discreet repairs , spine richly gilt with title and floral tools. Occasional light foxing, margin cut a bit close at the head, small stain at lower corner of gatherings E and F, occasional light soiling. 19th c. inscription to the rear paste-down.
