First "cheap" edition of both novels, the third British edition overall, issued to be more readily available than either the first or second editions of 1847 and 1850, respectively. The Cheap edition features Charlotte's Brontë's memoirs of her sisters and her preface to Wuthering Heights, which first appeared in the Uniform edition (1850).
