Report for 1916 on the Federated Malay States. Cd. 8814. First edition of this report by Sir Edward Brockman, chief secretary of the FMS from 1911 to 1920. His remarks end with a tribute to the recently deceased Sultan of Perak, who had ruled since 1887: "It is difficult to appreciate the loss which these States have suffered by his death" (p. 30).
