Five traditional Japanese hospitality aprons. A collection of five maekake bearing the logos of famous companies including Asahi and Kikkoman. Alongside beer and soy sauce, these aprons advertise Mitsuuroko's line of coke and coal briquettes, the chicken served at an izakaya called Yamauchi Nojo, and the shuroku brand of sake from the Otsuka brewery (closed in 2011). These aprons would have been worn either by workers at the restaurants and breweries themselves or at other locations that served those products. Similar apron designs are worn by restaurant workers to this day.
