A Mingled Yarn. First and only edition of this scarce memoir. Mott (1844-1910), "sometime soldier, actor, stage writer, racing journalist, tipster and loafer was born at Lichfield, Staffordshire... [and] wrote under the name of 'Nathaniel Gubbins'. He is best remembered for his very readable, but often inaccurate, autobiography A Mingled Yarn.
